Dallas Family Decorates Home for Olympic Celebration

According to NBCDFW, the Bishop family house is all set to make the most of the Tokyo Olympics 24/7. You will find them cheering at Team USA sitting on their couch. The family has also taken its enthusiasm and support for the game to the outside of their home, which you can see if you pass by their home.

People who know the Bishop family know that the family loves to spread joy in its neighborhood. In the front yard, there is a sign that reads “Choose Kindness.” They always put a smile on others’ faces no matter the time of the year. They welcome people with snacks and water during special holidays and are doing the same during the Olympics to keep everyone excited.

Bishop said, "Me and my wife, we try to focus on the positives you know because again, we’re 98% the same so why focus on the different. Just be kind to everybody because we pretty much are all the same."

Kit Bishop reportedly said they are big fans of the Olympics and want to bring everyone together to celebrate it all. They want to encourage young athletes and leaders to have high spirits during the games. American flags are surrounding the front lawn and the patio, as well as flags of participants of the Summer Olympics from all over the globe.

“I think the wife tried to get all the countries she could, I know there are over 200 countries but I don’t think there are 200 flags," Bishop laughed. "I hope not that would be crazy."

They have literally turned the front of their home into a mini Olympic Village that is very impressive.

In the driveway, you will easily spot the Olympic ring flag, having “USA” in the center. From their flagpole, there is another flag of the Olympic Games. On the front door, there is a drape with blue, red, and white colors reading “USA.”

His kids seem to have a different perspective. With chuckles, Bishop shared that his kids think their parents are crazy!

According to Kit, his love for the games goes back to the Olympic Games in 1996, in Atlanta. He said he spent three weeks with almost no sleep, working, and still went to the summer Olympics in Atlanta back then. It was the coolest experience he ever had. Over the years, decorating his home during the Olympics has become a tradition.

There is a lot of excitement about the Olympics amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, which is quite a good change for most people. What are your thought about this and how are you enjoying the Olympics. Share something about it with me in the comments. I would love to hear about it!
