With a solemn tone and wrinkled brows, Owen Shroyer, the
host of the show, Infowars told his audience the bad news. There is a warrant
for his arrest, and Shroyer is going to turn himself in on Monday.
The reason for the warrant is that he is charged in
connection with the US Capitol Riot, which happened on 6 January. This incident
happened when the then President Donald Trump tried to block lawmakers from
endorsing the presidential elections in November 2020.
For some time, Owen Shroyer spread false information
claiming that the elections were rigged. Now he is facing federal charges for
his alleged participation. Shroyer said on Friday, “There’s a lot of questions.
Some I have answers to; some I don’t. I plan on declaring the innocence of these
charges because I am.”
Among the charges Shroyer faces the charges of a
misdemeanor, entering a restricted building or remaining in one, disorderly
conduct on the grounds. So far, reports say that the Federal court did not list
a lawyer.
However, what I can say is that according to the court
documents, there are video footage showing Shroyer march into the US Capitol
grounds and telling the crowd “to let our congresspeople and women know, and we
must let Mike Pence know, they stole the election. We know they stole it, and
we aren’t going to accept it!”
The main problem is that Shroyer entered the restricted
area.
He also has a record of being arrested by the Capitol police
back in 2019 for disrupting an impeachment hearing, House Judiciary Committee.
The New York Times reported that Shroyer made a Livestream of himself in the
packed room shouting.
According to records, following this according, Shroyer got
a deferred prosecution and he agreed to do some community service. He also
agreed to certain conditions, which include not engaging in disorderly conduct
on the Capitol grounds.
Reports also say that about 58 others were charged in the
U.S. Capitol riot case. USA Today reports that the FBI has charged 575 people
and more. The spokeswoman for the FBI office in Dallas, Melinda Urbina said
that the FBI arrested 31 people across the state.
Other Texans facing these same charges are already working
through the courts. Jenna Ryan, a Frisco real estate broker pleaded guilty to a
misdemeanor for parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol.
For now, there is a lot more going on behind the scenes, but
we will stop here. You can read more on the Dallas observer.
