The theater's second screening room opened to the public on Wednesday. The new area of the theatre is soundproof that can accommodate an additional 165 movie lovers in addition to the 670 seats in the theater's main screening room.

According to sources, the President of Aviation Cinemas (which owns and manages the Texas Theatre), Barak Epstein reportedly said, "We've been working on this for almost ten years. We knew when we originally started the theatre that we wouldn't be able to claim we were finished resurrecting it until the balcony area was secured. From the beginning, that was the goal.”

After shutting down movie theatre operations for most of 2020, the theatre announced its expansion intentions roughly ten months ago as the initial wave of the pandemic began to fade.

According to Epstein, in times of unwelcome downtime, his team took great advantage of that downtime and organized the theater’s construction and the finance. Epstein also stated that the ways that they can operate our facility are a game-changer for them.

Epstein also said that the future audiences and fans of the theater can expect to watch more live events and the first run movies s they return to the cinemas after a long break. Epstein stated that people are going out and so far, they have had a good audience for The Greek Knight and in Candyman, he further added that once we are through this, it is supposed to become even better.
