Olive Groves and Van Gogh's first exhibition is dedicated to Van Gogh's olive grove sequence that was made later in life. However, unlike two competing; Van Gogh interactive experiences that took place in Dallas and Arlington, the DMA exhibition incorporates original Van Gogh paintings. Only animated Van Gogh paintings projections were on walls. These paintings are available in the unique experiences. Van Gogh and the Olive Groves depicts the artist's journey with this subject, with 15 works depicting olive trees at various times of season every year.
